Vacation vinyl is on 3815 W Sunset Blvd. It is an awesome place great layout and they have a good selection of heavier music, punk, hardcore, rock n roll, etc. They have alot of in store performances, The last one I saw there was Retox and it was fucking electric a totally rad place to see a show. The staff there is very knowledgeable on the selection they have. There not like your usual stuck up record store employees who are holier then thou because they work at a record store. When I first saw The Soft Pack they went under the moniker The Muslims it was in San Diego at a house party and it was electric , I was very interested and really wanted to get some recorded music. The first thing recorded I heard was Extinction it was a black and white music video and i was instantly a fan, the second song i hear was fences and they were quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. Now about 6 months later I saw them in LA and the were called The Soft Pack and they were a fucking tight wall of sound and there was nothing better in LA The Grand Elegance was gone and the Soft Pack Was here

The Jubilee music festival off sunset was rubbish, I walked up and said 
I was on Autolux guest list which i wasnt and they let me in. It was so 
poorly put together and most of the bands that they had on the schedule 
had canceled and no where did they let anyone know that those bands had 
cancelled I mainly went to see the Soft Pack and they apparently were 
another one of the bands that had cancelled and they didnt let anyone 
know If you asked the people working there they didnt know NO ONE THERE 

KNEW ANYTHING IT WAS FUCKING CRAZY . Of you didnt go your lucky, if you 

did go and had to pay for it 
IM SORRY !!!!!!

Highlight of this event was there was this vendor there who was serving 

pork sandwiches and they were actually cooking a whole pig, cutting it up then 

putting the head right in front on the table next to the register. Note many 

vegans and vegetarians were very upset, I was very upset thats i had no money to 

get one! 

Here is a bullshit lineup they made... this wasnt even the one they had at 

the show....

 So sad!

The Grand Elegance was one of those bands i just randomly came across when I first moved back to LA. I loved this band from the first time I saw them…. I hope LA never forgets them.

I can now say that I have had my mind blown live by Virginia Reed on multiple occasions they are the tightest live band in LA right now. Personally one of my favorite bands in LA. The energy will grab parts of your soul you did not know were still able to be awoke. They are currently hard at work on a new EP which should be out soon make sure you catch this band like and keep your eye out for there EP. Below you can listen to a new song.

There has not been a band like No Bunny in a while they have the most RAW ENERGY on stage I have not seen anything like it since I have been back to LA. It is as refreshing as a Gin and Tonic on the hottest day of the summer, while sitting next to a pool,in the middle of a fun fest pool party. If you have not had a chance to go see NO BUNNY stop missing out on nights of  teenage angst and RAW TALENT Stripped down 77 punk rock N roll….
